Accommodation

As the name suggests, your weekend of Audi driving takes place in North Georgia and this year, at a new destination resort in Clayton, GA, for our HQ – the Kingwood Resort. The Audi Club GA board has managed to secure a room rate of $150 per night for the event. Just use code ‘Audi Convention’ when booking your room. Please note, this special room rate expires 07/14 so you will need to reserve your room beforehand to secure the exclusive rate.

Routes

Early Saturday morning, we’re off to a fantastic drive in the North Carolina mountains on roads we rarely travel, heading toward Sylva via Franklin, and stopping for lunch in Waynesville. The afternoon takes us down the amazing Pisgah Highway to Brevard. The return leg on US 64 and NC 281 will offer several opportunities to stop and explore waterfalls.

We will be back at Kingwood with plenty of time for socializing. Saturday evening will offer a complimentary wine tasting and dinner in the Grand Dining Hall, topped off by a raffle. Sunday morning, we’re planning to lead an optional, more leisurely drive to Uhuburg, a brand-new renaissance castle in Helen. Under construction since 2008, it just opened to the public last month and promises to be a very unique experience.

Food

Included in the registration fee of $70 is your Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as Sunday’s breakfast. Sunday lunch will be at a destination venue and is not covered by the registration fee, so you will be liable for your own lunch check. For those of you able to arrive early, there will be an optional Friday evening dinner, which you will also need to cover. And of course, you will receive a cool Helenback 2023 t-shirt!
