Covered Bridges of Georgia Tour
Saturday, April 09, 2022
On Saturday, April 9, we’ll be crisscrossing the State of Georgia to visit some of the best-preserved covered bridges. We’re going to meet up bright and early at the Concord Covered Bridge in Smyrna. Following a route prepared by our lead, Ted Dannemiller, we will head west and north toward Cartersville. From there we’re going to meander eastward through Canton, Cumming, Dawsonville, and Cleveland, ending in Helen.
This is going to be a scenic drive along common roads, with an emphasis on the history of these covered bridges and ample time to study the details of each one. A stop for lunch is in the works. Check back soon for further details.
The cost is $5 per person, and attendance is limited to 40.
